About
I lead the "3D Visual Intelligence" Research Group at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics. Prior to this, I did my PhD from IIT Bombay, under the supervision of Arjun Jain and Ganesh Ramakrishnan. I am also associated with the VIA Center and the Research Training Group on Neuro-Explicit Models of Language, Vision, and Action at Saarland University.
My research interests lie in the intersection of 3D computer vision, computer graphics, and multi-modal interactions. I am particularly interested in developing algorithms for the capture and synthesis of digital humans and their interactions with the world.
Some research questions we explore include:
- Human Motion Synthesis for Animation and Robotics
- Human-Object Interaction
- Human Performance Capture
- Behavioral Modeling of Social Interactions
Open PhD positions. We are looking for outstanding PhD students to join us. If the topics above excite you, please reach out with an email containing your CV, transcripts, and a research statement describing your past work and your motivation behind pursuing a PhD.
